Wednesday, August 12

   • Beam tuning throughout the night
   • 8pm: Harp scan attempt, motor stuck [3], [4], done at 10:30pm
   • 2:45am: Harp scan [5]
   • 6:00am: Production

Tuesday, August 11

1. Last 24 hours
   • 11:45am: 5th pass separator cable melting [6], [7]
   • 7:45pm: beam returned, continued production running
   • 4:00am: 5th pass separator trip, crew chief gives Hall D priority with magnetic separation
   • 6:00am: separator repaired, switch back to RF separation
2. Reports/Issues
   • Monitoring: Beam Properties normalization updated and calibration fixed
   • Coherent edge for 45/135: off-centered/nominal beam
   • 5C11 position drifts [8]

   • Maintenance day (>4h):
     • Intervention on TagM (Richard, Nick, Chris)
     • Installation of test crystals (Sasha)
     • Work on GEM TRD (Lubomir)
     • FCal base replacements (Mark)
   • Tune beam spot on diamond for 45/135 (Hovanes)?

Monday, August 10

1. Last 72 hours
   • Beam returned Saturday 4am
   • Harp scan, initially problems with GUI settings
   • DAQ/HOSS problems: [9], [10] (Saturday morning)
   • Start of 350nA production cycle on Saturday day shift, but beam tuning to A ongoing [11]
   • Saturday swing: AC bias testing, [12], status, [13], [14]
   • MCC confused about FSD trip and goniometer movements: [15]
   • Sunday 1pm: Cryoleak in 1L20, tripped pump, beam restored at 10pm
   • Harp scan: [16], [17], [18]
   • Completed first full cycle of 4 orientations + amorphous
   • DAQ problems on Monday morning: [19], [20], log files from moving to tape fill up disk, Sergey will work on a system to prevent this
2. Reports/Issues
   • Coherent edge for -45/45: [21]
   • Problem with trigger rate archiving [22]

Friday, August 7

1. Last 24 hours
   • Diamond alignment check (Hovanes)
     • Coherent edges are reproducible to about 20 MeV, tweaking may be necessary
     • Add screen shots of the coherent edges to logbook
     • "force para" or "force perp", as appropriate, and "save as default" for each of the four settings
   • Trigger check-out (Sasha)
   • TagH and PS HV scan, interrupted by pass change
   • Storm, optics tuning, several issues, transformer repair
   • No beam since, expected only this afternoon

   • Remind MCC to put in dumplet when changing radiators

Thursday, August 6

1. Last 24 hours
   • 5th pass separator problems after thunderstorm in the evening
   • Beam recovered around midnight
   • Harp scan: results
   • Radiation levels checked: similar to spring
2. Reports/Issues
   • TagM was set to high gain mode during night, saturates, no meaningful data [23]
   • Diamond alignment: coherent edge too far off (Beni)
   • Bleed through from Hall B
