1. Last 24h:
   • Recovery studies 0830-1300 ish
   • Steady production running until the same pump failed again at around 11pm
   • Rough night - resumed running at 6am, thanks to Keith Blackburn who replaced main and backup pumps
   • CCAL work continued
   • Hovanes reinstated the beamline vacuum alarm auto-notifications
   • Harp scans Mon pmTues pm
   • Rates
   • TagH monitoring fixed, thanks to David
   • The gas shed is much less scary now - thanks, Tim!

   • More trouble with the same vacuum pump Tim & Mark made access to power-cycle it, have replacement parts ready for use if needed.

4. Plans
   • Sasha proposes to take one TAC run at low PS field (400 A) today (Wed) and postpone the nominal field TAC run (910A) until immediately after the low energy measurement programme. This is partly for convenience (5h/run) and partly because we already have some TAC data with the nominal PS field.
   • After the TAC run, we need to check transmission w AC position before starting low Eg measurements

1. Last 24h:
   • Beam studies 0830-1410 CompCAL work continuedCables & pulser
   • Target compressor cooling water valve adjusted and alarm re-enabled
   • Vacuum pump in the tagger hall suffered a control board failure Mark saved the day. Found a replacement CB & made it work again. 3.5h UED.
   • Owl shift pretty smooth. Trips but nothing long-lasting.

2. Issues
   • major alarm did not call mechanical on call phone
   • The runs immediately before and after the pump shutdown were taken while the pressure changed in the beamline - noted in shift summary.
   • TagH monitoring
   • The gas shed contains many big spiders, the web strands are disturbing

1. Notes from Friday & weekend:
   • Friday
     • Email from PD that the recovery time on Tuesday will probably only be 4h.
     • Sasha started work on PS field studies at 2pm (from 1pm to 2pm mostly no beam). Will return later or tomorrow to finish these.
     • ComCAL humidity sensor alarmed, Sasha Nick & Vlad made a short access to deal with this, found the sensor was bad.
     • Hovanes found new best collimator x from beam scan.
     • Found Jay's suggested quadrupole change improved focus slightly, keeping with that
     • Overnight: good production running
   • Saturday
     • Smooth running continued until 2pm cryo temp trouble, down for 4h
     • Sasha looked at CCAL trigger during downtime and finished up the PS field studies (with beam)
     • Overnight: mostly smooth production running. Time-travel went without a hitch (transition to DST).
   • Sunday
     • RF issues ~8am, 4h down + some shorter outages
     • Swing shift more steady, overnight MCC quad problem 1.5h, otherwise ok

2. Issues
   • FCAL LEDs missing since Friday late pm
   • TagM time shift
   • FCAL & PS total scalers freeze on gui, repeatedly
   • Request: please only use the css workspaces for gluons1-4 if you are sitting in the counting house right in front of that gluon!

Friday, Nov 2 at 08:45

1. Last 24h
   • active collimator scan done. The intention was to make sure that the beam was centered on the collimator and then decide whether to ask for beam convergence adjustment but the results were confusing and we decided to continue running without changes for now.
   • Mark filled both alcohol bubblers
   • Sasha looked at BCAL LED trigger timing - hopefully this is fixed
   • Production - beam trips quite frequent
   • Cleared up some mysteries from yesterday - a network issue was the cause of the beamline counters switching off. It should have triggered an alarm but didn't. And the TagM mess was indeed when the DAQ config was set to cosmics.
2. Issues
   • Target water temp alarm every 1.5h through the night graph 1Temp graph
   • One FDC channel tripped, was reset

   • Q on whether to go ahead w second set of 7GeV test runs - need collaboration agreement
   • Remember to make a plan for the clocks changing on Sunday

   • Hovanes to try scan in x of beam position on AC today
   • Follow that with Jay's suggestion & harp scan. Checked w Todd & Mike M - ok.
   • Sasha to do test run w PS at lower field today
   • Mon & Tues downtime to be used for CCAL installation. Controlled access should be ok.
   • Discuss 7GeV run plans more on Monday
   • Tim will adjust target compressor cooling water valve on Monday - should be ok until then. Chris & Alexandre see all the alarms.

   • 7GeV coherent peak test run completed
   • Raw mode run completed
   • BCAL LED run for Elton when beam went off
   • Rest of time - mostly production
   • Approx 9pm the tagger chain dipole (not the Hall D tagger) power supply failed. Fixed after midnight. Some problems restarting as many beamline counters had tripped apparently without alarms

   • Sasha said shift crew should not use the cosmic trigger at all. Use production trigger even if only to collect cosmics during a long down-time.
   • Tentative plan for V-wire TAC run on Wed next week at 2 PS settings, nominal & lower Eg. Then follow with low Eg test runs. Maybe a 3rd TAC run after the low E data-taking.
