Corrections to the photon flux due to the smaller beam energy

  • Run conditions approved by PAC and ERR
    • Electron beam energy: 12 GeV
    • Energy range of interest: 8 - 9 GeV,
    • Photon flux: 2·107 phot / sec
  • Reduction of the beam energy from 12 GeV to 10.8 GeV
    • R = Nphot 12 GeV / Nphot 10.8 GeV
    • R (0 - 8 GeV) = 1.17
    • R (0 - 12 GeV) = 1.2
    • R (8 - 9 GeV) = 2
    • R (8 - 12 GeV) = 1.93
    • For C and LHe4 runs the beam current was increased to 150 nA (by about 7%), max approved by RadCon
    • Correction to the photon flux in the energy range of interest due to the beam energy change: 1.6 - 1.7

Setting up photon beam

SRC production

  • Standard configuration: Production on JD70-105 radiator. 2h runs and no more, as it may be hard to correct for calibration drifts. Cycle over 4 sets of runs: 0o, then 90o, then 45o, then 135o.
