    • Status (hdview2)
    • Lots of details at the software meeting (see notes). Main effort is to create the software base for the muon detector in the FWPC library
    • David showed preliminary displays of hdview2 including a new page with the MWPCs. Comments were made for improvements
    • PID (pi/mu slides-Nikhil)
    • Nikhil gave an update of his work using the latest files of pions and muons.
    • David noted that the rough goals are to achieve 98% pion acceptance with a 99.8% muon rejection.
    • Rory: Suggested that Fcal DOCA and E9/E25 variables be included. It seems the DOCA is already included with other name
    • First results shown with promising results.
    • Beni: Noted that the muons are all high energy and penetrate all MWPCs, which will not be the case for muons Eu<1.75 GeV. The confusion between pions and muons at low energies will need to be studied carefully.
    • Rory: May wish to include track momenta and/or scaled variables to help with low energy confusions.
    • Simulations
    • Andrew will check that the BH muons are generated for a coherent peak at 6 GeV.

  7. MWPC Testing
    • Move to Hall D
    • FMWPC Log Book
    • All six chambers are in the hall: Arwen, Bilbo, Celeborn, Denethor, Eowyn, and Haldor.
    • Ilya has flushed Ar/CO2 for about 4 hours and brought all chambers to 1000 V. They draw <~ 4 uA indicating no broken wires.

  10. DAQ and Electronic Setup (Sergey and Beni)
    • Chris Stanislav has prepared the LV cables. The signal cables are on order, but we can test with the cables from the EEL.
    • The plan is to move the new half rack onto the north side of the carriage.
    • We can configure a temporary DAQ system using the electronics from the EEL (now in Hall D) and a new CPU configured by Sergey for hall operation.
    • If signal cables cannot be stretched to the stand-alone crate, we might need to move these into the half rack.

$* Rory: Fernando has been assuming that the MWPCs grounds are isolated except for cable connections to the electronics. Instead, they are firmly connected to the iron absorbers and the plan is to make a solid connection from the iron to the clean ground.
