    • Bluejeans being phased out between now and end of January. New system will be ZOOM.

  5. Software/Calibration for CPP (David, Alex and Sean)
    • DFMWPCMatchedTrack
    • David is considering various options for engineered features to use as inputs to use in the mu/pi PID evaluation
    • He presented two options; one using clusters in FCAL and FMWPC determined independently and then linked to tracks and second using the track to guide collection of hits/clusters in the other detectors.
    • Many questions were asked and suggestions offered. Effort is ongoing.
  6. Microscope move (Richard)

    • Microscope Survey
    • James McIntyre has pass on the baton to Daniel Prather by setting up the microscope from scratch. Daniel will be responsible for moving it back to the 9 GeV position for GlueX after CPP.
    • There are now only 96 columns (down from 102) because they do not fit in the new extended configuration. (Last 6 columns will read background.)
    • The hodoscope scintillators that parallel the microscope cover energies in the 7 GeV range due to the small crossing angle, so both detectors should be installed in that area.
    • To work on the microscope the hodoscope plate was removed and needs to be reinstalled.
    • All electronics is now working (some channels fixed).
    • Chris Stanislav shadowed the operation and is familiar with the setup.
  7. Diamond for CPP (Richard)
    • The plan is to use JD103. However, the optimum location for the beam has not been identified, but should be able to be determined in software from the light source data convoluted with the beam profile. This will save Hovanes time in scanning the diamond.
    • Richard is willing to produce a tool that can be run systematically over the area of the diamond. He will present a plan at the next CPP meeting.

    • Andrew noted that the new software builds are allowing him to process events

    • Beni has taken data (R202) with Arwen and the new LV cable with the different grounding connection.
    • He has looked at the baseline and it shows shifts that need to be looked at further
    • Elton will also take a look at the run and compare with previous analysis of Arwen.
    • We need to evaluate the new cable configuration before moving the the hall.

    • The TDC readout for the CPP scintillators may be problematic because a new CAEN TDC requires inputs from a distribution module. This needs to be checked.
    • Rory: Trigger based on CPP scintillators would be useful for checking the experiment trigger based on the TOF by triggering on muons.
      • Beni: Using the Flashes to develop a trigger is not practical (requires firmware). However, a simple trigger obtained using extra pmt signals and NIM electronics could be used as a front panel trigger. Beni will investigate with Fernando and Nick.
  13. CPP Software (Mark and Simon)
    • Mark has successfully built hdgeant4 against the CPP branch. See email to halld-offline mail list
    • Simon has submitted a pull request to merge the CPP branch into the master. Sean has comments/suggestions that Simon is addressing.
    • Mark: Notes that changes by David to the CPP branch will also merge with this pull request. David: Even though this is a work in progress "It should not break anything."
