Abstract:

The gain and timing properties of the Hamamatsu fine mesh PMT modules have been measured in magnetic fields up to 1.2 T. The angle between the magnetic field and the normal to the photocathode ranged from 0 - 52 degrees. Both tubes have similar timing capabilities as the XP2020 and the XP2262 as long as the angle is kept below 45 degrees.
