Abstract:
Techniques for synchronizing time measurements from the various timing devices used by GlueX are discussed, in particular how synchronization can be achieved in the absence of an external, global timing signal. Some of these techniques were necessary during the Fall 2014 run, and all of them are useful as consistency checks on timing system operation when an external timing reference is used for synchronization.
