We present results from a Monte-Carlo study of the resolution of the $(x,y)$-position and of the momentum at the $z$-position of the proposed \v{C}erenkov detector (CKOV) for the GlueX detector system. The method with which the tracks are traced in the magnetic field of the detector to a given $z$-position (along the beam-axis) is described as well.
