Work continues within the photon beam working group to characterize the methods used by GlueX to estimate the photon beam flux, energy, and linear polarization over the energy range from 6GeV to the endpoint. This progress report summarizes advances by Primex in the use of Compton scattering to test and validate the beam flux measured by the pair spectrometer in combination with the tagging counters. Incremental developments in understanding energy scale and polarization systematics are also described.
