Run Plan
Production running cycling through targets:
- JD80-212 80um diamond, 200 nA beam current
- 800M events for 0/90 deg and PARA setting
- 800M events for 0/90 deg and PERP setting
- 800M events for 45/135 deg and PARA setting
- 800M events for 45/135 deg and PERP setting
- 400M events with 4.5×10-4 Al 40um radiator (on goniometer!), 300 nA beam current
- Set new reference for amorphous radiator in CBREM GUI.
- Runs should be no longer than 2 hours.
- Keep the state of the production cycle on the whiteboard up-to-date.
Special instructions
- Put comments for each run.
- The comment should at least contain the following information "<radiator> <PARA/PERP>, <beam current>, LH2 target, <typical trigger rate>, <typical life time>, <issues if any>"
- Example: "JD80-212 80um 45/135 PARA, 200nA, LH2 target, 81kHz, 93% live time"
- Set a new amorphous reference in the CBREM GUI each time the amorphous radiator is used.
- Be sure to hit the "PARA" or "PERP" button in the CBREM GUI when switching diamond targets. Otherwise the diamond alignment may be in an undefined state and the experiment may be flooded with low-energy photons.
- Watch for locked-up FCAL HV bases towards the end of a run and clear them before starting a new run. See [1].
- Watch the DAQ lifetime when starting a run. Sometimes it stays at 0%. Just stopping and restarting the run fixes this issue in most cases.
Medium Term (1 week)
- No special plans.
Run conditions
- Radiator: 4.5 E-4 Al (amo, on the goniometer)
- Collimator: 5.0 mm
- TPOL converter: Be 75 um
- Runs are no more than 2 hours - see whiteboard for the production cycle
- Target: Liquid Hydrogen
- DAQ configuration - see whiteboard
