Action Items from previous meetings

  1. Check impact of material at low end of readout, both in the tubes for cooling fluid but also in the Cu cooling plate. Need to check effect on particle trajectories.

Tentative Agenda

  1. Announcements
  2. Action Items
  3. Schedule, reporting, and manpower (Elton)
  4. 1st article test report (Carl and Yi)
  5. Mechanical cooling (Jim)
    • Review status of drawings for prototype (Chuck)
  6. Temperature compensation (Jack)
  7. Preamp-summing (Fernando)
    • Will present a discussion of cabling and grounding next week.
  8. Discussion of production testing

Minutes

Attending:Jim, Elton, Jack, Carl, Yi, Fernando, John, Chris

  1. Announcements
  2. Action Items
  3. Schedule, reporting, and manpower (Elton)
    • Good progress, but no change to the EVMS report
  4. 1st article test report (Carl and Yi)
    • Conclusion of this study is that individual cells must be readout out if uniformity between channels is to be tested.
  5. Mechanical cooling (Jim)
    • Imported drawings from Fernando and will incorporate into mechanical model
    • Cost estimates have been obtained, will proceed with order next week
    • Developing pieces for temp stabilization prototype with Jack
  6. Temperature compensation (Jack)
  7. Preamp-summing (Fernando)
    • Good progress on schematics and layout of preamp/sum board as well as small "U" board
    • Will obtain several prototypes of "U" board
    • Will select a summing group with smallest spacing to prototype the preamp/sum circuits. One will be provided to Jack for his temp stab prototype.
  8. Discussion of production testing
  9. Note added: The multiplexers used by USM are the Analog Devices AD8184.
