Mailman Email Lists
- Email lists at JLab use Mailman, the GNU mailing list manager. You can find a list of all email lists hosted at JLab at http://mailman.jlab.org/ .
- Note that each email list has an administrator whom you should contact if you have problems or questions about the list. The email address of the administrator is shown at the bottom of the information page.
- For messages sent before July 22, 2009, see the Hall D Majordomo Email Archives.
- To subscribe, click on the appropriate "information page" link.

Subversion Repository Check-In Email Notifications
Subversion has a feature where an arbitrary command can be issued on each check-in. We use this feature to send email notifications to interested parties. As such this acts just like an email list.
The scope of the messages can be customized; if you are interested in only particular branches of the tree, then notifications can be sent only for changes to those branches. Also mail can be sent to any valid address.
To add or subtract an address to the notification list, log into JLab and edit the file
/group/halld/Repositories/svnroot/hooks/post-commit
You must be a member of the "halld" group to do this.
