Minutes

Attending: Jack,, Carl, Scot, Chris, Yi, John, Elton, Jim, Eugene

  1. Announcements
  2. Action Items
  3. Schedule, reporting, and manpower (Elton)
  4. SiPM production testing (everyone)
    1. OSP (Carl)
      • OSP submitted. Bert will take the next step
      • Ordered micro-switches to interlock box with power supply
      • Ordered anti-static straps, flash lights
      • Scot: Added grounding wire for the support plate in the box. Discussion on where to attach. Suggestion to use the VME crate ground, but test with/without connection.
    2. Software (YI)
      • Control software is ready
      • Analysis software is advancing to use the JLab farm
    3. Hardware setup (Yi)
      • Need additional low voltage cables
      • Once complete, we will need to establish training for the setup
      • Recheck light uniformity
      • Carl: The light uniformity left-right is within 1%
      • The top two rows are about 4% lower than the middle two
      • Preamp 10 Ohm output resistor has been replaced by a 0.1 microF capacitor to eliminate the DC offset
    4. Test operating temperature
      • Presently operating at 9 deg C
      • Plan: test at one temperature first and then repeat at second temperature to establish temp dependence.
      • Test at lowest temperature possible without condensation. There is concern that 5 deg may be too low.
      • Carl will buy water absorbing material for the box.
  5. Mechanical assembly (Scot)
    • Chemically polished light guides
    • Some samples sizes missing
    • Proceed with gluing tests using best glue to date and one new ne
  6. Mechanical (Jim)
    • Will order humidity sensor
    • Parts for gluing fixture should be in soon
  7. Mechanical drawings (Chuck)
  8. Temperature compensation (Jack)
    • Parameters for thermistor selected and large order submitted plus order for mini-Bcal
  9. Preamp-summing (Fernando/Chris)
    • MPPC compact design boards built up (and more on the way)
    • Boards for PS completed
    • Thermistor boards done
    • U-boards waiting Fernando for final test. Components are in hand. First 80 will be done in house using Jim's fixture.
  10. SiPM testing (Ivan)
