• CDC dEdx discussion:
  • Naomi mapped regions where dEdx using integral provided better pion-proton separation than using amplitude
    • Thinking of using simple box cut in θ and p to choose which method to use
    • Look at pion-proton separation in MC?
  • Simulation code compensates for drift gas issues during spring 2018 run
    • Deterioration of gain for clusters drifting from far from wire using linear model with cutoff at some radius
      • Cutoff radius 6.5 mm at start of spring 2018 -> 4 mm at end
    • MC studies by collaborators suggest over-correction for gas deterioration effect for later runs in spring 2018
      • Larger tails in real data compared to MC?
