Review of minutes from last time

We went over the minutes from December 4.

Mark has complete a system for building the GlueX software on Oasis, usable from a Singularity container, with all of the pieces needed for code development. Look for an announcement from him soon.

Issues on GitHub

We looked at the list of issues. The only one we needed to discuss was Issue #66, "More FDC issues?.

Richard has been looking at FDC hits on forward track, trying to understand losses. He turns of physics (multiple scattering, energy loss, etc.) and is exploring where hits are missed on tracks in this simple scenario. He is starting with hdgeant3 for these studies. He finds discrepancies in the drift times "read-out" in the Monte Carlo vs. the thrown distances of closest approach to the wires. The cathodes look OK.

He has come to conclusion that he has to go ahead and start looking inside the tracking to understand this problem.

Mark mentioned there is a possibility of an inconsistency between the geometry in hdgeant3, coming from XML files on disk indirectly through FORTRAN code, and the geometry used by reconstruction, coming from XML files stored in the CCDB. Richard will think about how to check consistency automatically.
