  1. Follow this link for instructions
  2. Login.
    • Use your JLab username and password.
    • If you are already logged in this link will not appear
    • If you would like to log-off, that link is in the far lower left corner.
  3. Find the section on "JLab User Web Pages" and click on the link to a form.
  4. Fill out the form.
    • If you are not sure about the "two-factor" question, the answer correct answer is probably "No".
  5. Wait for approval.
    • You need two people to approve your application:
      • one from CNI
      • another from your supervisory chain (for lab employees) or from your JLab sponsor (for non-Jlab folks)
    • You will get an email containing a link to access information on your application. The linked-to page will summarize information you gave on the form and give you two lists of people that can approve your application, a list for each category described above.
    • Note 1: All of the folks on the lists receive an email notifying them of your application, unless the approver has opted out of receiving them. There is also a web page that they can check to see applications pending their approval.
    • Note 2: In addition any of the approvers can approve your application by accessing your record using the link in the email mentioned above.
  6. After approval, wait for a web directory to be created.
    • Upon approval a CCPR is generated instructing helpdesk personnel to create a directory for you.
    • You will get an email when this is complete via the normal CCPR process.
  7. Copy files from /home/myname/public_html to /userweb/myname/public_html, where "myname" is your name.
    • This can be done on any JLab CUE computer (e.g. jlabl1,2,3,4).
  8. Access your files which were formally available at http://www.jlab.org/~myname at https://userweb.jlab.org/~myname .
