- Rory Miskimen agreed to be a convener for the "Parity violation and fundamental symmetry tests" for SNOWMASS
- We still need to identify a theorist for this sub-group.
- Liping has contacted Susan Shadmand regarding being convener for the "Quark Flavor Physics" subgroup; Sasha and S.T. talked to Stepan Stepanyan as a possible alternate.
- SICCAS crystals: the company is still on target for late November delivery
- Rolf is still willing to support buying more crystals up to a total of 1600 (including the 500 already on order).
- We are still working on the contract between Wuhan and JLab -- Eugene and Rolf are on board, still working through JLab bureaucracy.
- We received all 64 CRYTUR crystals -- apart for some minor scratches they all look good.
- We identified space to assemble the modules in the TEDF; this space should be available in December.
- 500 PMTS are on order
- Final module design still needs to be set:
- Working on stress tests for straps.
- Attachment of light guides to crystals: plan is to use RTV (glues to light guide material but not as well to the crystal?)
- Will make these "cookies" ourselves with 2-component material
- Light guide diameter is slightly larger than PMT active diameter (18 mm vs 16.5-17 mm)
- ESR reflective material is a little thicker (65 microns) than previously available -- probably still ok.
- Perhaps build 50 modules? Need to think of mechanism for moving modules between various setups (light transmittance measurements are in Carl Zorn's lab)
- Beam test setup is awaiting platform (components ordered)
- 12 module assembly awaiting plate
- V. Popov has provided design for new bases, plan to test using COMCAL
- Plan to do rate scan, measure anode current with B-field on
- Plan to use COMCAL as TAC, check linearity, radiation damage?
- Optimize beam hole (current 2x2)?
