- Preparation for module fabrication
- COMCAL tests, TAC running, etc.
- Data analysis
- Simulations
Minutes
Attendees: Igal,Sasha,Zisis,Jane,Liping,Tim B.,Jon,Jared,Susan,S.T.
- Sasha has been filling in a spreadsheet detailing the QA for each of the new batch of SICCAS crystals
- Generally quality has improved over first batch, although there are still several discolored crystals
- Packing: 20 crystals per box, bundles of 4 -- maybe not as safe as could be? (found 1 crystal with cracked face, will accept as spare)
- Crystals systematically wider in middle relative to ends by about 30-40 microns
- Some crystals are blurred, some contain bubbles, plan to make transmittance measurements and compare with company's measurements
- Will provide feedback to Chinese company
- Plan to continue QA the week of 11/9/20 -> clear procurement invoice
- Next batch starting in next few months? Try to establish more collaborative approach with company?
- Module construction setup ready: new temperature control for brazing
- Mu-metal shields should be ready and delivered to TEDF week of 11/9/20
- Still working on details of getting Zizis's group involved with PMT divider work
- PCB layout for dividers finalized (exact details of resistors can be changed easily)
- Goal for divider design is end of November, order in December
- S.T. has been working on a generator for π0π0 background for η→π0γγ
- S.T. working on implementing island algorithm for FCAL reconstruction
- Zisis's student is working on machine learning
- Igal looking at studying multi-photon channels with and without π0 mass constraints: how to combine trees?
