- Dipangkar presented a preliminary look at simulation and reconstruction with model geometry for the hybrid calorimeter. He used some sample event generators from the GlueX code repository (he was using a branch that was forked off the trunk some time ago). Although he had some success reconstructing showers in the hybrid FCAL, there were indications that one of the files used for generating events was broken and that the code that converts showers into photons did not appear to be working.
- Liping presented an update on various channels suitable for searching for physics beyond the standard model. In addition to our B-boson search channels π0/η/η'→γB, where B must be a vector particle, she looked at Kaon decays (K→πX), where the nature of X (pseudoscalar, light scalar, vector, axial boson??) is ambiguous if a positive signal is seen (barring the very small neutrino/anti-neutrino channel)-- here we have an advantage should we happen to see something. In particular it looks like we will have less dependence for the branching ratio on mass of B in the available mass search region. The kaon channel adds an additional set of constraints to the B-boson available search space diagram. She also discussed "invisible" decays.
