Kuraray Fiber tests

The following fibers from Kuraray have been tested for light output with a Sr90 source.

  • BLUE
  1. 81 MC lot:0801/103

  => Attenuation length L = 300cm
  1. 78 MC lot:0801/104

    61cm         6.99+/- 0.31

  => Attenuation length L = 230cm
  • GREEN

   165cm        1.95 +/- 0.01
    61cm        2.3  +/- 0.03
   161cm        1.95 +/- 0.02

  => Attenuation length L = 605.8 cm


Saint Gobain Fiber tests

The following fibers from Saint Gobain (aka Bicron) have been tested for light output with a Sr90 source.

  • GREEN
  1. BCF20 individualy packed labled Set2 1/8 #5
    This fiber is not very strait after about 100cm it starts to be wobbly.
