Action Items from previous meetings

  1. Check that we have all RTDs already, otherwise order (Chris) Chris found the box of 100 that Jim had ordered.
  2. Jim to send BOM for mechanical parts to Chris. Chris to decide on type and size of bins needed to hold sorted parts.
  3. Confirm with Fernando that the labeling of boards U1-U48 and D1-D48 is ok (Elton)
  4. Make decisions on how to treat sensors with high dark rate (Elton) They satisfy our specifications. Use along with others.

  3. Light guides (Elton)
    • Tina, Scot and Elton will begin setting up the gluing procedure on Monday at 10 am in the ESB
    • The goal is to glue guides on four light guides per week in production mode. It will take some time to verify the gluing procedure and begin production
    • Templates from tedlar for the light guide wrapping will be made next week. Jim gave Elton full-size drawings for the templates, which can be used to make the first few sets.
  4. Schedule for production and testing (all)
    1. Electronic board jumper settings
      • Should be completed in a month
    2. Mechanical preparation of all parts will be done in February
    3. SiPM from USM:
      • 640 are still at USM, all tested. 480 are packed and ready for shipment.
      • Last 360+10 units from Hamamatsu have been stuck in customs. They will be returned to the US and rerouted through JLab.
    4. Assembly can start once the mechanical preparation is complete, which will be in March.
  5. SiPM production testing (Ivan)
    • Ivan will get back to making measurements of cross talk and after-pulsing next week
    • He is returning to Russia at the end of the month.
  6. Mechanical assembly (Jim)
    • Anodizing: PO has not yet been awarded, expected soon
    • Mechanical parts, including the cooling tubes, have been ordered. They are expected in a couple of weeks
    • Tom has promised to have people-power available to prepare cooling tubes and plates and assemble mechanical parts starting in February
  7. Temperature compensation (Jack)
    • All Jumper assignments have been made and sheets are being prepared
  8. Electronic boards (Fernando and Chris)
    • All 100 readout boards have been received. (Note: First article boards were received and approved in mid Dec)
    • Boards look very clean with beautiful solder joints
    • Six boards have been checked with test voltages close to zero and 6 mV in the worst case. (The specification is 10 mV).
  9. Light guide gluing setup (Scot)

    1. Low voltage distribution
      • Chris is doing a redesign
      • New quote for cables, including a quote from TigerDirect for in-house custom cable.
    2. Monitoring distribution box
      • This will be designed after the low voltage distribution box is completed.
