   • Updated GlueX-doc-1291 after fixing geometry
   • Selected an angle of about 30 deg of pmt axis to B-field, minimizing the difference between a linear approximation and actual gain dependence vs. angle. This leads to a relatively small bend angle of the light guide which will increase light transmission. The curved guides (compared to 45 deg mirror), will reduce the amount of light guide in the acceptance of the detector.
   • Discussion: Factors to be considered in more detail are a) actual value of field at location of pmt (Note: the curve of gain vs. angle is normalized for EACH B-field setting to its own gain at 0 deg.) b) light collection for these new light guide geometries. Note that at the values of the field in this region (less than 0.5 T), the angle dependence is very shallow.
   • Alam has another student working on light collection efficiencies and will hopefully have some results next week.
