• Status at USM

1. There are currently 4 engineering masters students in the group. Projects have been assigned to students predating request to work on "alternative readout". One student is now working on GEANT4 studies for the alternative readout together with a second student that is familiar with GEANT4 in other studies.
2. Currently building a large power supply for a large number of SiPMs
3. Alam, recent graduate in electrical engineering; visited CERN three times working on power supplies for accelerator applications. Alam is currently supervising students and keeping the lab going.
4. George joined the teleconference later
5. They have a setup which is close to be able to start measurements. The setup includes PMT, ADC, HV power supplies, few detectors, SiPM.
6. An LED pulser is being fabricated at FIU and will be provided to Will when he attends a Ph.D. defense in a couple of weeks.
7. Grant application for major instrumentation funding was submitted and results will be known next Tuesday (Note added: USM got the grant!)
