Tentative Agenda

  1. Announcements
  2. USM update
    • Timeline for producing a concept for FM light collection
  3. Interfacing to the new USM grant
  4. Review of Action Items

Minutes

  1. Timeline for work at USM
    • USM has many project and a clear schedule with milestones can help prioritize the work
    • Getting started on a draft MOU will also be important to clarify the timeline
  2. Interfacing to the new USM grant
  3. Elton will send the Regina MOU to Will
  4. Discussion with Elke had centered on USM performing the following functions
    • Order and recieve light detectors
    • Complete detailed accetance and testing including characterization of sensors
    • Extension of tasks to making and testing light guides
    • Some discussion considered additional items, which might be deviating from the main theme. This included, for example electronics. Note: Serguei is presently planning to build a power supply with 255 channels with appropriate specifications for SiPMs. If cost effective, this design could be used for the final system. Fernando noted that the currennt cost estimates are based on the MPOD modules from Wiener for both the drift chamber LV and light sensors.
  5. Will requested that Elton start a schedule in FastTrack to start specific discussions on timelines and milestones.
  6. Will will be in the US during July or August, but schedule is flexible.
  7. Eugene pointed out that tests of SiPMs must be done in a radiation environment before a final decision is made on their selection.
  8. Fernando started the discussion on cooling and we had informal discussion which brought out many good ideas
  9. Hand sketches on the board produced a concept, which Tim will draw up for further discussions.
  10. Tim agreed to do "excel calculation" of heat transfer including time to cooldown for this concept.
