Presented - Tim, Fernando, Stephanie, Keith H., Sasha, Scot, Chris S, Vlad B., Arshak

Topics for discussion

  • 1) Design of HV distribution panels
-Length of HV cables (inside the dark room)
  • 2) Design of the LV distribution panels
-Length of LV cables (inside the dark room)
  • 3) Location of signal patch panel

Original layout the distribution boards and cables

HV distribution

  • Distribution panels positioned in 4 quadrants of the FCAL dark box. 9 Radial cables connected from outside to each quadrant.
  • Each distribution board feeds an array of 20x20 ECAL modules, i.e., one quadrant of the ECAL (layout modified)
  • Radial connector orientation: 5 vertical and 4 horizontal [1]
  • Use 9x4 = 36 CAEN A7030N modules (add 2 modules to provide the same layout of patch panels and symmetric distribution of HV cables over chains in dark room)
  • HV cables inside the dark box (from dist boards to dividers) are routed through chains (left, right. top, bottom)

Questions:

  • Exact location of distribution panels (hole size in the FCAL box)
  • Length of cables
  • Insulation

LV distribution

  • Powered by 2 MPOD modules, 2 x 2 = 4 cables
  • Use four (?) distribution boards positioned near the ECAL (change location). Each board is connected to 20x20 ECAL modules.
  • New type of the LV connector and LV cable (shielded cable connected the divider and distribution board)
  • Mount the distribution board on the 'plastic' rectangular beam pipe (or chains) ? Should be rigid.
  • Plug the cable from the MPOD directly to the PCB (?)
  • Distribute 4 LV cables along the beam pipe (similar to signal cables)

Need to order soon: HV and LV cables
