Attendees: Matt (Cornell), Eric (Indiana), David, Elliott, Simon (JLab), Dan Sober (CU), Blake, Rafael, Zisis (Regina)

  1. Business Arising
    • Action Items: Everyone was asked to review the Action Items list (see below) and contribute to it.
  2. Detector Setup/Mechanics
    • Regina: Nothing new to report since last Friday.
    • Indiana: FSU has agreed to machine parts for the cart. The rest of the work continues at Indiana. Eric is working on a design for the underlying plate, to allow the cart and leg to roll in/out of the alcove without encountering a step. There was some discussion over the positions/configurations of the runs, with 10-50 (60?) deg range covered at one position and a jump to get 80-90 deg at another position. There are no interference issues in the alcove at present.
  3. Hall-B Tasks:
    • Beamline/alcove: Elliott posted minutes from the Engineering minutes on the Wiki (BCAL Beam Tests). The issues of tools, connectors, etc was discussed. Elliott will look in the Primex cabinets, but some of these items may have to come from Regina or Indiana.
    • DAQ/Online/Counting Room: The status of the H-B counting room was discussed. There is some space to work on terminals/laptops. We will have people on call: Stepan (beamline), Dave Abott (DAQ), Sergei (DAQ computer). Elliott will investigate safety and COOP (Conduct Of OPerations) issues.
  4. Monte Carlo:
    • Simulations continue at Regina: materials in beamline, misalignment (vertically), cosmics configuration, pencil beam vs finite collimator size.
  5. Any other business
    • Module crate: Regina will have a second crate built for shipping the module to JLab, since the other crate is in Edmonton waiting to be used for shipping the green/hybrid module to Regina.
    • TPE configuration: We re-confirmed that the TPE setup as is, does not pose any problems for our Beam Tests.

Action Items

  1. Alcove/beamline: Elliott, Zisis and Eric S. will work out details and communicate to H-B engineers.
  2. BPM, Veto: David and Elliott will work on making this a functioning system.
  3. Cosmics counters: Regina will provide.
  4. Mu metal foil: Zisis will order soon.
  5. Electronics: Elliott and Zisis will run through the checklist.
  6. Tagger and Trigger: Paul Smith, Elliott, Franz Klein and Zisis will refine the trigger logic and tagger demands offline.
  7. Data storage/Silo Request: David and Zisis will deal with this offline.
  8. E-log: Greg Riccardi continues work on the GlueX e-log.
  9. Collimator: Rafael will simulate collimator size effect on sigma_z plus other effects (see above).
  10. Online Macros/MC Data steam/MC Validation & Binning: David and Zisis will work on these offline. Zisis will provide requirements for ROOT trees.
  11. Beam Request: Elton, David and Zisis will carry this discussion offline.
  12. Safety, COOP: Elliott will investigate.
