Minutes

Attending: Alex, Mark, Elton, Rory, Ilya, Beni, Jose

  1. Announcements
    • Future meetings will start at 11:00 am
  2. Action Items
  3. Theory Update
    • Jose is in the middle of exams. He hopes to have time to work on providing reliable amplitudes for input to Gevorkyan's analysis.
  4. Experiment Update
    • BGGEN simulations of incoherent backgrounds (Mark)
    • Report on work-in-progress
    • Alex: The MC generated topology is available and useful for understanding BGGEN events.
    • Mark went over the generated plots describing the output and Elton helped interpretation.
    • There is still work needed to convert the results into an estimated background. Rate needs to be calculated and compared to signal. Additional selections cuts may be needed to remove this background from the signal.
  5. Calculations by Sergey Gevorkyan
    • Ilya has a FORTRAN code to calculate the FFs, which he will make available.
    • The first priority will be to concentrate on Pb, since this is the target for the CPP run
    • Once the code is revived, it can be checked against calculations for single pi0 production in PRC 80 (2009) 055201.
  6. CPP and NPP Readiness Review
  7. Trigger
  8. Other business
  9. Next meeting
    • Friday, Dec 4 at 11:00 am
