Minutes

Attending: Beni, Ilya, Elton, Jose, Rory

  1. Announcements
  2. Action Items
    • Rory will ask Barbar Pasquini if she is willing to help the experiment with her expertise in dispersion theory.
  3. Theory update
    • Jose, Aleks and Svetlana met last Friday. They divided up the work. They setup a Google Drive Share for references and work summary. They plan to meet on alternate Friday's from this meeting. They do not yet have results to report.
  4. He Data (Ilya)
    • First look at 2pi0 production on He pdf
    • There are about 200k 2pi0 events (30 days) in He data and 10k 2pi0 events in Be data (2 days).
    • Including BCAL doubles the statistics at this energy. Likely more important if we run at 6 GeV (instead of 9 GeV).
    • The measured elasticity peak including BCAL showers is slightly less than one, which might indicate that interactions are off the nucleon.
    • Beni: Was a timing cut made on the showers? Ilya: only a very wide cut. Timing of showers projected to the vertex allow selection of the prompt beam bunch.
    • Rory: Has the analysis been done on Be? Ilya: Not yet because of low statistics, but the same plots an be made.
  5. Other business
  6. Next meeting
    • Elton will be away in two weeks. We decided to move the next meeting to Nov 1.
