The goal for week 8 was to restore beam, test the full production trigger including all of the ECAL and start taking production data.

On Wednesday the ARC 10 magnet was flushed so that beam could be delivered again to Hall D. Harp scans on Thursday showed the bean was sufficient for AMO running but the halo and convergence was not good enough for diamond. With the first data on Friday the production trigger with updated VTP firmware confirmed that the full ECAL was included in the trigger.

Friday night the solenoid magnet tripped without a clear indication of the cause. By Saturday morning the solenoid had ramped to full field for 1 hour before tripping again, this time caused by cryo compressor failure. The solenoid field was restored by Sunday morning, when the accelerator optics experts were able to improve our beam optics and we took some production data on the diamond radiator. Unfortunately, the solenoid tripped a third time on Sunday night and the source was identified as a faulty signal from the UPS for the solenoid controls, which was removed from the interlock.

Since Monday morning we've been taking production data when beam is available. The firs physics quality data was collected in run 131593 and since then we've collected the event totals below

  1. AMO: 0.4B
  2. PARA 0/90 deg: 1.5B
  3. PERP 0/90 deg: 1.2B
  4. PARA 45/135 deg: 0.8B
  5. PERP 45/135 deg: 0.8B
