Run Coordinator report: Fall 2019 w1-2

This Fall run is mostly dedicated to finishing the DIRC commissioning. The initial schedule was to start the physics program on Nov. 25th, after a week of beam restoration. This was postponed to Dec. 2nd due to various issues that occurred during beam delivery preparation and restoration (notably a leak in the North Linac). Another change was that instead of the usual 11.6 GeV nominal energy, the energy was lowered to 11.4 GeV. Eventually, usable electron beam arrived on Dec. 3rd around 6pm. We proceeded with checking that the beam quality was adequate, then Hovanes calibrated the Active Collimator and determined the optimal beam trajectory for good photon flux transmission, Alex Somov re-established the production trigger and Sergei re-established the standard production DAQ and integrated the GEM/TRD into the DAQ. This morning (Dec. 4th), we took some straight tract data (for the beginning of this run, the solenoid magnet is off) with the standard trigger. Alex Somov is currently working on the PS trigger and on a trigger including DIRC and GEM/TRD information for the straight tract runs. We are right on track compared to our run plan (https://halldweb.jlab.org/wiki/images/b/b2/F19week1.png) and while there are some problems (calorimeter board issues, unable to run the highest field with the PS magnet) there is currently no critical issue preventing us to continue the DIRC commissioning.
