This is a summary of my RC week based on the daily reports I submitted.

Wednesday, November 24

    • since yesterday (Tuesday) the solenoid was being ramped down in preparation for target change from Cryotarget to Carbon. Such a change was finalized around noon. Immediately after the change, the solenoid was ramped up. At 19:00 the hall was ready to receive beam. Production started ~21:00. During the day, some jobs and a walkthrough were done in the Hall.

Thursday, November 25 and Friday, November 26

    • production on carbon continued with no big issues to report.

Saturday, November 27

    • production on carbon continued with no big issues to report.
      • energy oscillations were reported in several monitors BUT not at the tagger dump position. It was reported to the PD and Jay Benesch, but it didn't affect the quality of the data.

Sunday, November 28

    • production on carbon continued with no big issues to report.

Monday, November 29

    • loss of communication and other small DAQ issues started to increase in cooperation with the previous days but nothing serious. Carbon production continued.

Tuesday, November 30

    • DAQ started to be more unstable in terms of communication. An increase of radiation, of the order of 7% increase was reported in all monitors, but far from dangerous levels. The position of the coherent peak making use of the 45/135 PERP configuration showed to be very unstable. The immediate explanation was how the position was estimated. In this experiment, the position of the peak is placed halfway the microscope and the horoscope, both with different granularity. Finally, TAGRPLC warning alarm jumped without the possibility to solve it remotely and will be addressed the next day during the beam down period. Carbon production continued.

Wednesday, December 1

    • Accelerator down for RF recovery. FCAL, Tagger Hall, and PS site work requested.

Since the start of the run with the carbon target, a standard procedure when changed configuration of the diamond was implemented:

   from 0/90 to 45/135 and 45/135 to 0/90 ALWAYS
       BEAM OFF and DUMPLETTE
from PERP to PARA (with the same orientation)
       BEAM OFF
