Run Coordinator report: Spring 2018 r12

Here is the summary of activity during the last week:

We were scheduled to receive 122h of CW beam, we actually received 57h and of that we used 52h. The 5h of acceptable beam not used was mostly spent on configuration changes - switching radiators or diamond orientation. DAQ problems only accounted for 1h of BANU, as by chance most of the DAQ crashes occurred just before the beam disappeared for a while.

It was difficult for the accelerator to deliver the large currents needed by Hall C (for boiling studies) whilst the other halls were running, and so some time was dedicated to getting those completed.

We asked for beamline retuning three times, this resulted in improved beam position stability and convergence.

During production running 4.8E9 triggers were collected.

Special tasks completed during the week include:

Identifying a new location on the diamond to improve the sharpness of the coherent edge; Threshold scans for the CDC and TOF; Background studies for the CDC and FDC; Pair spectrometer converter thickness study; Preparatory work for the upcoming TAC run.
