  1. Comp Cal installation
    • Completed at 6pm yesterday
  2. First sight of beam (by Comp Cal): https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3633247
  3. Swing and Overnight Running
    • 15 nA on Al V-wire (full running condition).
    • Lost beam around 2am (due to radiation damaged valve position sensor).
  4. FCAL is down:
  5. Run Plan:
  6. Cryo

Monday, Dec 3 at 8:45

  1. Comp Cal Status
    • Friday: cell-by-cell calibration
    • Friday overnight: successful TAC run
    • Saturday: completed cell-by-cell calibration
    • Saturday overnight: no beam / TAC rate issue (due to beam characteristic change).
    • Sunday: completed voltage matching
    • Sunday overnight: voltage crosscheck data taken
    • Data ready?
  2. Target
    • Be target installation (tentative date is Thursday)
    • LH2 Cooling and when?
      • Empty target data during the target colling process?
  3. Accelerator
    • Beam study 9am-2pm
    • Energy change next Monday
  4. Planned hall access:
    • Alex: hall tour at 1:30
    • Sean/Stuart: checking the cable for the tagger hodoscope (not scheduled)
    • Hall tour tomorrow?
  5. Other idea of using the low current beam
    • Ken: The coherent peak test near the tagger hodoscope low energy boundary (preferably after the energy change) with ~2nA current

Tuesday, Dec 4 at 8:45

  1. Comp Cal Status
  2. Target installation Plan for next Monday: 70 hours (Planed by Chris, modified by Tim and Alexandre)
    • Hall opens at 8am Monday;
    • With Radcon support, Hall D techs remove beamline and retract target cryostat;
    • Hall D techs uncable and remove start counter from cryostat;
    • Target Group secures H2 gas, inerts the target piping, and bleeds vacuum chamber to atmospheric pressure;
    • With Radcon support, Target Group removes foam portion of cryostat;
    • With Radcon support, TG removes superinsulation around target cell;
    • With Radcon support, TG removes LH2 target cell;
    • TG mounts beryllium sample in place of LH2 cell;
    • Location of Be sample fiducialized against outside markers on cryostat;
    • Foam portion of cryostat is put back in place, vacuum pumps on;
    • Start counter put back in place, cables attached;
    • Target inserted into solenoid
    • Survey adjusts position in solenoid
    • Beamline assembled and pumpe
  3. TAGM trigger issue (Richard): https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3633836
  4. TAGH HV/signal cabling check (requested by Sean).
    • A hardware expert is required to go with Stuart.
  5. MCC promised to looked into the low current monitor at 5C11B

Tuesday, Dec 4 at 8:45

  1. Day and swing:
    • Snake pattern voltage scan (50% completed).
    • Hall access to check the solenoid He level probe. (Bobby and Mark)
  2. Overnight: 20nA on 1x10^-4 radiator, LH2 production data, lost few hours of data taking due to issues:
    • Issue 1: AC gain changed
    • Issue 2: 1x10^-4 radiator (ion chamber was not calibrated).
    • Problem resolved around 4am, MCC currently calibrating all the radiators
  3. AMO radiator: stops several times during the retracting.
  4. Planned work during MCC energy change (starting 6am next Monday):
    • Be target installation (3 days).
    • Checking cables for TAGH 229 and 230, (Chris and Stuart).
  5. Solenoid He level is at 33%.
  6. Ken's plan on the coherent peak test:
    • For 30 Mins: Set up new peak settings for PARA and PERP, and establish the beam current required to keep the rates on the hodoscope down.
    • Once the peak setting is established we could the do these any time:
      • 1Hr run on PARA
      • 1Hr run on PERP
