Wednesday December 1

  1. Last 24h:
    • Production has been quite good, besides the increase of alarms.
  2. Issues:
    • Increase of radiation addressed by Alexandre is explained due to changes in beam profile
      • need to check after beam recovery
    • Instability on 45/135 PERP reported by Lubomir and Torry, is explained partially by the previous issue and that the coherent peak is located halfway the tagger and microscope (different granularity causes instability in its estimation)
  3. Plan:
    • RF recovery
    • FCAL maintenance (Mark, Malte, Rebecca)
    • Work in the PS area (Sasha)
    • Work in the tagger Hall (Nick)
    • Beam recovery
    • run on carbon at 150nA
    • Rotate the radiators and use both configurations
      • It was suggested to stop the beam ALWAYS before changing the radiator configuration (even with the same radiator). Between radiator change (0/90 <--> 35/145 ALWAYS ask MCC to set the dumplette)
  4. Analysis update

Tuesday November 30

  1. Last 24h:
    • Production has been quite good.
  2. Issues:
    • FDC HV alarm solved by Beni.
    • A FCAL channel lost communication (thank you Malte). Solved following instructions.
  3. Plan:
    • run on carbon at 150nA´
    • Rotate the radiators and use both configurations
      • It was suggested to stop the beam ALWAYS before changing the radiator configuration (even with the same radiator). Between radiator change (0/90 <--> 35/145 ALWAYS ask MCC to set the dumplette)
  4. Analysis update
  5. EXTRA:
    • Stan Brodsky Seminar: The Onset of Color Transparency from Holographic Light-Front QCD - Tuesday, 2021.11.30, 3:30 PM (PT) https://hit.lbl.gov/

Monday November 29

  1. Last 24h:
    • Production has been quite good.
  2. Issues:
    • No major issues to report.
    • Sean has updated the calibrations after the target change.
  4. EXTRA (thank you Alexandre):
    • Stan Brodsky Seminar: The Onset of Color Transparency from Holographic Light-Front QCD - Tuesday, 2021.11.30, 3:30 PM https://hit.lbl.gov/

Sunday November 28

  1. Last 24h:
    • Production has been quite good.
  2. Issues:
    • No major issues to report.
    • The energy oscillations reported by Alexandre here and here were addressed by Jay this morning. I lack the enough knowledge to arrive at a conclusion, but it is apparent that it is not affecting the quality of the data.

Saturday November 27

  1. Last 24h:
    • Production has been quite good.
  2. Issues:
    • No major issues to report.

Friday November 26

  1. Last 24h:
    • Production has been quite good.
  2. Issues:
    • ~23:30 VESDA Fire Alarm panel started to beep, but not alarm was present. Sasha explained us how to proceed, and around one hour later it was solved.
    • Take ONE amorphous run.

Thursday November 25

  1. Last 24h:
    • Solenoid ramped down, cryotarget removed and replaced with the carbon foils (work finished ~12:00)
    • Beni started to ramp up the solenoid. ~19:00 tune beam was delivered into the hall. After harp scans and finishing with the solenoid ramp up, DAQ was prepared for production.
    • First Carbon run at 150nA started ~11:30
  2. Issues:
    • DAQ computer was frozen during the afternoon, so a hot reboot was necessary. That could cause some communications issues with some racks, especially with the Pair Spectrometer.
    • Besides that issue, I suggest limiting the DAQ computer just for CODA. I had the experience that the computer gets freeze or lose the GUI when is used with other apps.
    • Not an experimental issue, but important, the mouse from the conference room has disappear.
  3. Plan:
    • run on carbon at 150nA´
    • Rotate the radiators and use both configurations
      • It was suggested to stop the beam ALWAYS before changing the radiator configuration (even with the same radiator). Between radiator change (0/90 -> 35/145 ALWAYS ask MCC to set the dumplette)
    • Take at least two amorphous runs
  1. Analysis update
