- Previous CPP Software meeting: Π polarizability Software Meeting May 5, 2022
- Announcements
- This meeting followed a fairly long RC meeting discussion the ongoing run. Therefore we concentrated on issues not previously covered.
- Action Items
- CPP-NPP Trigger (Sasha)
- CPP and NPP Run Conditions
- Empty vs Full target Rates
- Andrew presented an analysis of empty vs full target running to estimate the amount of running we should devote to each during the run.
- Estimates of the (time) fraction of full target range from 75 to 86% (the rest being empty target running and putting other calibrations aside for the moment). No final decision was made. The electron beam current used for empty target running may be higher than for full target since the trigger rate will be smaller. However, we need to check rates in the rates in the tagger do not exceed recommended limits.
- Photon beam / tagger / diamonds
- Hovanes has aligned the JD70-103 and it exhibits a fairly sharp coherent peak. See bottom plot of Log 4002718
- Software/Calibration, Simulations
- All the runs with beam do not produce CTOF Hits and Points, even though the low-level DigiHit objects are present. See Log Entry 4002744. Simon found that the timing between ADCs and TDCs has changed after comic-ray running and a timing window prevents Hits from being produced. He is looking into a fix.
- hdview2 event display
- Commissioning
- FMWPC Log Book
- A steel plate was inserted downstream of the CTOF this morning. See Log Entry 4002947.
- It was noticed that the protective cover on the downstream MWPC #6 was never removed and is likely producing unwanted backgrounds. It was now been removed.
- After the steel plate was installed the CTOF trigger rate increased by a factor of about x30, which is unexplained. However, since the accelerator is down, it was decided to remove the plate today in preparation for running overnight with the newly aligned diamond JD70-103.
- CPP and NPP Experiment Configuration
- DAQ and Electronic Setup (Sergey and Beni)
- Documentation (Elton and Simon)
- Elton has started a spread sheet with a list of run numbers that we should keep updated to track the run. See Log Entry 4002994.
