Goals for Calorimetry Group
- Determine preliminary photon reconstruction efficiencies as a function of E, phi and theta in data and simulation with a point-to-point precision of at least 5%.
- Measure systematics of pi0/eta mass calibration as a function of detector position to a precision of at east 5 MeV.
- Demonstrate agreement of photon reconstruction efficiency and resolution between data and simulation as a function of E, phi and theta to within 5%.

Minutes
Attending: Elton, Mark, Tolga (JLab); Karthik, Varun, Zisis (UofR); Christina (Athens); Drew (Duke); Sean, Edmundo (FSU); Susan (Juelich), Matt (IU)
- Announcements
- Zisis asked about travel to JLab related to the Coronavirus. At the moment, travel should be continued as normal. Visitors are asked to fill out a questionnaire to gather information regarding possible exposure.
- Announcement at Production and Analysis meeting. Complete calibrations by April 1? See 2020 Data Production
- Mark: timing calibrations completed up till about 10 days ago
- Position and attenuation length/gain ratios are in process and should be completed soon. Mark will send out a note when the calibration is complete so that Karthik can start the pi0 gain calibration.
- Action Items
- Run Updates
- FCAL
- Log Entry Replaced power cord on Quattro 3 and put a new anagate in for Quattro 7
- [Added at end of meeting] Matt: Colin shipped bases back to IU and Paul is investigating. So far Paul has repaired about 4 bases and found poor solder connections and some physical damage. However, no systematic pattern of failures has emerged yet.
- BCAL
- Log Entry FP bits 9 and 10 are not firing all the time. The sequencer was stopped/started and is seems to be working but we need to keep monitoring it.
- Mark is adding some diagnostics that will allow us to check its status more easily in the future.
- FCAL
- Calibrations
- Monitoring
- Reconstruction
- Sean: Sean is working with Mark, Alex A. and Simon on including reactions with neutrons into our standard framework.
- Have a preliminary initial implementation with the aim of reproducing Simon's results that were shown at the last collaboration meeting.
- Next step would be to improve the covariance matrix and make wider checks of the system.
- Efficiencies
- Simulations
- NIM articles
- Archive Paper Article on FCAL shaper parameter has been submitted to JINST after getting feedback from the collaboration.
