- Previous CPP meeting: Nov 10, 2021
- Announcements
- Chiral Dynamics 2021. Rory is attending and presented an update on CPP/NPP.
- Patrizia has asked for an update on the MWPC testing. I have provided Log entries, but we need to write a report.
- Action Items
- See notes under action items.
- Software/Calibration for CPP (David, Alex and Sean)
- PID + AI - slides (Nikhil)
- Nikhil presented a first look at data provided by Andrew to develop a mu/pi separation.
- Need more realistic data that Andrew is working on. Rory: For the pions we probably want to use actual rho data in order to avoid training on possibly unrealistic MC simulation for hadron interactions.
- There was considerable discussion and feedback.
- David: One general strategy consideration is to train algorithms on a single track (i.e. have a PID/track) or on two tracks together or "event"(i.e. have a PID algorithms that looks at both tracks at the same time).
- Rory: The strategy for e/pi has been based on single tracks.
