Labor Day Holiday Special (9.30am, note one-off different time)
Weekend Run Updates
- Missing RootSpy plots found
- Lengthy beam off period Friday evening due to vacuum pump in the south linac (~1 shift)
- Total triggers so far this run
- 100 nA and 50 nA production runs
- TAGM threshold and bias voltage updates
- FCAL Voltage updates
Issues from the weekend
- Return of the ST gap
- Out of date list of subsystem experts, some updates applied in the wiki
- [1], [2] Overnight FCAL issue caused by voltage changes.
- Changes to subsystem settings and configurations should be recorded in a separate logbook entry at the time they are applied. This helps shift crews to pin down the cause of any unexpected effects before calling the RC with a generic "there's somethng wrong".
- Remote connection to counting room, remote shift takers should CHECK THEIR CONNECTION WELL IN ADVANCE OF THEIR FIRST SHIFT
- Timekeeping, in person shift takers SHOULD ARRIVE IN TIME FOR THE START OF SHIFT, not 5-45 minutes after
Plan
Sunday, September 4
- No Meeting
- Production Running on Be target at 100 nA
- Trigger studies
- Run details from logbook
Saturday, September 3
- No Meeting
- Production Running on Be target at 200 nA
- Expecting minor updates to FCAL HV
- Switch to 100 nA
- Run details from logbook
Friday, September 2
Past 24 hours
- Total triggers so far this run
- CDC AI is online!
- FCAL HV Scan
- More details can be found here
- Overnight production running at 200 nA
Issues
- Shift crew just reported that Ar and CO2 cylinders are low
- DAQ issues late night
- Hydra very slow updating last night (>10,000 seconds)
Plan
- Intensity scan; 3 shifts each at 50nA and 100 nA, 12 shifts at 200 nA (almost 6 completed)
- Trigger Studies
- Access needed to restore target comms
- Solenoid ramp down Monday, zero field runs Tuesday
- Target change intended for Wednesday
Thursday, September 1
Past 24 hours
- Be target inserted
- 5 FCAL bases replaced (Rebecca)
- Electric work
- AC & SC Electronics (Nick)
- Target alarms temporarily disabled
- [3], [4], [5] Active Collimator studies
- AC calibration, new lock positions
- Production on Be target (Sasha)
- More details can be found here
- Overnight production running at 200 nA
Issues
- FDC and CDC alarms
- 3 channels of start counter lost on Firday around 14:00h during snake scan. Since no monitoring plots were published till run 110449 Monday 22:30 this issue was not immediately seen. This was fixed yesterday during the target change. logbook 403559
- According to the TOF paddle rates the TOF detector as a whole is a little to the right and low on the beam. (higher rates on the vertical paddles_beam_left and higher rates on the horizontal paddles_beam_up). logbook 403559
- Thanks to Thomas HYDRA is now working also.
- RCDB not uptading from around 08.30, possibly related to DAQ issue at start of last run
Plan
- Brief accelerator downtime around 1pm for preventative maintenance on a UPS in the injector
- Trigger study (Sasha)
- Detector checkout (raw mode for ADCs & pi0 for FCAL)
- Intensity scan?
- Physics production
- Take data with B-field (six shifts at 200 nA, then two each at 100 nA and 50 nA)
