- Preparation of parts for ECAL modules -- Sasha
- Crystals:
- - Received all crystals from CRYTUR [1].
- - Jane with students performed inspection of 88 crystals, expect to receive 66
- Received all long signal cables from the first order (1200). Received 450 short signal cables [2]
- Procurement parts for the LMS:
- - Waiting for 7,600 ft of optical fibers (August/September)
- Crystals:
- Module fabrication -- Sasha
- All modules have been fabricated, proceed with the final inventorization (about 1610 modules in total)
- Fixing about 20 modules with small imperfections (overlapping Tedla)
- Ongoing projects -- Sasha, all
- Visual inspections of fabricated modules [3] - done
- Prepare to move modules into Hall D [4] [5][6]
- Prepare space for the ECAL in Hall D. Move and install shelves. 70 modules have already been moved into the hall.
- Tested, labeled, and bundled (53 bundlesout of 100) [7] of signal cables connected from the flash ADC to the patch panel [8]. Receive cartridges for the printer, will resume labeling and cable bundling today.
- Removing signal cables from the FCAL and rearranging signal cables in the hall [9] Rearranging_FCAL_cables - done
- - 400 signal cables were removed,re-labeled and bundled
- - all cables have been re-arranged, two VXS crates can be removed (will be used by the ECAL)
- - install two flash ADCs
- Cutting optical fibers and gluing plastic caps [10]
- Report from students
- Test fabricated modules using LMS [11] 644 modules have been tested.
- Testing of PMT dividers -- Sasha / Vlad
- All electronics components received, will be shiped to the company to fabricate dividers today (Chris)
