FDC Update

CDC Update

  1. 1256 wires still to be strung. Currently working on stringing row 21, on schedule for early Feb.
  2. Gary has been looking at Delrin for the upstream plenum wall material and testing glues with it.
  3. Gary also has a proposal for an inexpensive cooling ring for CDC electronics made from Tygon tubing with metal fittings and holes drilled at 45 degrees. Tim will double-check the temperature limits with Fernando.
  4. The Swiss cheese-plate and some small parts will be shipped to CMU in Jan.
  5. Tim said that the Rohacell is expected mid-Jan, it is coming from Germany. It will be machined in Feb and sent on to CMU in March. He will try to organise the photogrammetry for February.
  6. Beni asked how often the wire tensions are measured - a week after stringing and then approx 2 months later.
