Agenda
Proposed Key Performance Parameters from November 21, 2014
Hall D: “Detector operational: events recorded with a > 2 nA electron beam at > 10 GeV beam energy (5.5 pass)”
Done: all data taking happened with >40 nA 10 GeV electron beam
- Detector running for ~one shift recording data from all subsystems.
- ~8h data taking on Nov 23 20:00 - Nov 24 8:00 at 50 nA, 0.2e-4 RL, FCAL trigger
- ~8h data taking on Nov 25 22:00 - Nov 24 6:00 at 100 nA, 1e-4 RL, BCAL trigger
- Done
- Snapshots of beam status screens and accelerator Elog entries demonstrating the electron beam current and energy.
- From online logbook Snapshot with thick radiator and 100nA For an unknown yet reason at high beam rates some EPICS variables were stale on this window. At 50 nA these variables were updated normally.
- From online logbook Snapshot with thick radiator and 45nA
- Done The beam energy can be derived from the tagger magnet field (1.5T for 12 GeV): 1.26T/1.50T*12GeV=10.08GeV
- Plots showing relative timing (coincidence) of the signals in TAGx, TOF, BCAL, FCAL, ST, PS (with TAGx).
- Log Entry 3309600 shows good correlations.
- TDC from logbook
- From the online logbook timing plots
- From the online logbook TDC timing plots
- From the online logbook TAGH/M timing with the PS trigger
- Plots
- Event displays showing correlations of particle hits in the CDC, FDC, ST, TOF, BCAL, FCAL.
- Run 1515 from the online logbook Another 3-track event
- Run 1515 from the online logbook More intersting events
- Run 1515 from the online logbook All detectors except the start counter shows good matches to the FCAL for both charged tracks and photons.
- Plots of reconstructed particle trajectories showing target position.
- From the online logbook z-vertex distributions. We still need to show an x-y vertex plot from the same run.
- logbook 3309273 Matching tracks to TOF.
- Particle identification plots using signals from calorimetry and timing detectors (e.g. FCAL, BCAL, TOF).
- Pions versus protons in the driftchambers Document from Justin. This shows clear dE/dx signals in both the CDC and FDC
- Neutral pions in the forward calorimeter Document from Matt. Select the November 27 Update Slide.
- Electrons in the forward calorimeter Document from Matt
- Electrons/pions in the forward calorimeter Slide from David. There is a software scale difference with the previous slide, but we also see MIP peaks here.
