Hardware Agenda
- Calibration Discussion
Minutes
Present: Curtis, Naomi, Beni, Simon, Sean
- Calibrations
- Discussion centered on Sean's slides of questions
- The functions asic_response and cdc_wire_signal HDGeant/hitCDC.c are not used in typical reconstruction
- It was thought sensible to include wire-dependent gain calibrations, start with all set equal
- Could approximate wire sag as being the same for all straws.
- Is there still room for scintillator paddles below and above the magnet?
- Naomi will send Sean her wiki link which outlines a routine for finding gas mix and time offset.
- With the 6 ft x 8" paddles at CMU at least 4 days running is needed to get useful data for resolutions.
- It would be useful to record data from cosmics with the magnet on.
