Abstract:
One of the basic problems in the study of elementary particle physics is that of describing the states of a system consisting of several particles with spin. This report represents an attempt to present a coherent and comprehensive view of the various spin formalisms employed in the study of elementary particles. Particular emphasis is given to the description of resonances decaying into two, three or more particles and the methods of determining the spin and parity of resonances with sequential decay modes.
