One of the crucial issues in the Hall D detector design is the development of a technique to measure particle velocities, necessary for charged particle identification. This report presents the anticipated performance of the three relevent Hall D subsystems, the Cherenkov detector, the downstream time-of-flight (TOF) scintillators, and the TOF signals from the barrel calorimeter.
