Visual QA of 2nd batch of crystals complete; Sasha now working on light transmission measurements
- Measurements for 6 clear crystals, 5 brown crystals, 5 yellow crystals
- Brown crystals have worse transmission curves as function of wavelength compared to others
- Considering upgrading setup to do measurements for several crystals at once to minimize opening box
- Compared measurements at 3 wavelengths (360 nm, 420 nm, 650 nm (should be 620 nm by spec)) to SICCAS measurements
  - Agreement is generally good
  - 2 crystals just barely below spec at 360 nm in our measurements: plan to accept anyway
- Can discolored crystals be recovered? Plan test to expose bad crystals to light?
  - Some evidence from CMS that crystals with worse transmission curves are less radiation hard?
- NPS group is considering illuminating their crystals in situ between runs
- Only plan to measure transmittance for subset of crystals -- good task for students in summer?
2 new modules have been constructed, but more work on brazing needed
- Plan to construct ~10 more soon
Crystal price increased do to 25% tariff, impact order of another 500 crystals?
PMT base activities continue, converging on design
- Plan to inject charge using waveform generator into 3x amplifier to check linearity -- but maybe we don't need to use an amplifier?
