    • Richard implemented in mcsmear a correction of the FDC cell efficiency and posted an example for the simple case of efficiency=1 (DOCA<4mm) and =0(DOCA>4mm). Using the standard plugin, the "measured" hit distribution looks OK, while the "expected" one is suppressed above 4mm, although it should be flat if the tracking is not biased by the hit efficiency in that particular region. Obviously this is not the case and we discussed ways of reducing this bias.
    • Ks reconstruction studies - Gabriel gave an update on ongoing Ks reconstruction studies. The Ks mass as a function of azimuthal angle was studied under various magnetic field conditions. The modified magnetic fields show a large effect on the measured variables smaller effect on the kinematically fitted variables. Applying an A*cos(#phi) (A = -0.02 T and -0.03 T) perturbation produces a flatter distribution in the kinematically fitted variables. Rho events have also been reconstructed with a -0.02cos(#phi) T perturbation to the magnetic field and the pull distributions are shown. After the meeting the corresponding plots with no magnetic field perturbation were included.
    • Keigo reported on his progress in understanding the sensitivity of the Ks alignment procedure on some particular parameters depending on the plane number.

      • Cody loaded the new firmware onto ROCCDC1 and will reboot it so that he and Sergey can start reading out all CDC crates, using a pulser trigger, and look for itrigger mismatches online (without writing the data to tape).

      • We need to start taking cosmics and looking at noise levels as soon as we can, so that any problems can be found and fixed before the target goes in.
