Minutes

Attendees: Liping, Sasha, Igla, Aoran, Stjepan, Zisis, Olga, Jane, Jon. S. T.

  • All signal cables ready, have half of short HV cables, long HV cables in production
  • LV distribution board design finalized, boards ordered (2 week lead time + 1 week to populate)
  • Waiting for LV cables -- received first article
  • LMS fibers glued to moujutinge plate, in process making everything light tight
  • Met with Fernando regarding LED pulser
    • Use one port in integrating sphere to inject light
    • Use CAEN1495 module to generate pulse
  • PMT divider tests continue
  • PMT divider radiation tests completed (total expoasure = 50 kRad)
    • Amplitude degrades with dose
  • Made visual inspection of FCAL, taking note of location of shims
    • Also looking for bubbles in cookie interface -- may need retorquing
    • Found one suspicious PMT -- practice removal?
  • Requested survey of FCAL-2 perimeter
  • No power on FCAL platform yet, expected in January
  • Optical fibers for DAQ will be installed in January/February
  • Magnetic shielding for reference PMTs for LMS system will be needed
  • Installation of plexiglas for lead glass LMS system underway
  • Fiber LMS system for insert will be installed in January, then installation of cables, PMT dividers, etc. will take 3-4 months
  • Expecting beam profiler from U.Regina in January, to replace existing rad-damaged profiler
    • Maybe could refurbish old profiler to use for shower profile measurements
  • Plan to build 5x5 ECAL array with some LG surrounding, measure properties in transition region
