Shifters must pay attention to the L0 bias currents. This is on both the SVT motor GUI and the main bias GUI. The bias currents will slowly creep up over the course of a run. When the bias current is between 15-20 uA for either L0 sensor, do the following:

# Take the beam away, turn off SVT bias voltages, and wait 10 min.

# Turn the bias voltages back on.

# Check that the L0 bias currents have gone back down to ~4 uA

General Shift Information

Every Shift: - To be updated!

  1. Follow the run plan as outlined by RC
  2. With any issue contact On-Call Experts or RC
  3. Keep shift summary up to date in HDLOG. Record all that happens. Start the shift summary at the start of shift and save it to the logbook, continue to update.
  4. Fill out BTA hourly. Click "Load from EPICS" to automatically fill the left side then make sure numbers are correct. If needed edit the entry. Note: in the "Sift information" tab choose experiment E12-19-003. . At the end of the shift send BTA to the logbook.
  5. Fill and submit the shift checklist in the logbook

Every Run:

  1. After "Go":
  2. Update the Run Spreadsheet
  3. Check ROOTSpy and compare plots with nominal run. If questions, post to HDLOG and e-mail the analysis expert (halld_srcct_analysis at jlab dot org).
