- Preparation of parts for ECAL -- Sasha

- - signal patch panel [1] - done
- - HV short cables: received, checked, labeled (last week)
- - HV long cable, 18 ready (out of 36)
- - HV distribution boards: in preparation
- - LV cables: waiting for about 440 - 150 = 290 cables (will need to test, label, and bundle)
- - LV distribution boards [2]. Have to populate with connectors, and design a box around the PCB
- - Chris S. is working on the prototype of the LED board. Currently 5 blue LEDs, consider to add red LEDs as well
- Ongoing projects
- Testing of PMT dividers -- Sasha / Vlad / George / Mindy
- - Testing procedure [6]
- - Mindy has finished with preparing all sockets (~1650) !
- - All dividers have been fabricated
- - Need to remove power regulators on about 200 dividers
- - George has tested about 1400 dividers [7].
- - Adding ECAL (and updating FCAL) translation table in the TT.DB (needed for EPICS scalers)
- Installation of the FCAL2 detector & integration to GlueX -- Sasha / Vlad / Hakob / Laveen
- Submitted ePAS for testing installed dividers
- Installation of the LMS has been completed [8]
- Cable and divider installation [9] [10][11]
- Install cable bundles on vertical chains
- Sort out dividers, set up jumpers (amplifier/by-pass) and install them.
- Bundles with optical fibers for the trigger have been installed (Chris, Armen, Mark). Need to install 2 patch panels [12]
- Receive optical network fibers. Will install them as well as the network switch during next week [13]

- Received 3 boxes of LV cables -- still need 290 cables
- LMS installation
- All fibers connected to ECAL modules
- Light injection to integrating sphere using LEDs
- PCB housing LEDs to be glued to flange
- Currently 5 blue LEDs, thinking about other colors (red?)
- CAEN 1495 to be used to drive electronics, need to check pulse heights
- Two reference PMTs
- PMT dividers
- ePAS in place for installation
- 180 regulators removed, need to be retested
- Plan to make light tight and test using oscilloscope after each 1-2 rows installed
- Work continues connecting optical fibers for readout/trigger electronics
- Low level software development continues (TTAB, geometry,...)
- Igal gave update on η→π0γγ studies using spring 2017 data set
- 4 photons in FCAL, with and without recoil proton
- Choose combination with best χ^2
- Sees evidence for η'→ωγ -- can use as reference channel
- No evidence for signal channel
- Huge 2π0 + significant 2γ backgrounds
