Attending: Elton, Karthik, Varun, Tolga, Colin, Mark, Jon, Rebecca, Malte, Sean, Matt, Susan, Zisis

  1. Announcements
  2. Run Preparations
    1. FCAL
      • Mark reported that Tim's group is making modifications to the FCAL box, to accommodate the CPP experiment. Mark's work will continue soon (90 bases have communication issues), but no later than the end of the month when the CPP work is complete.
      • Nick recently returned from paternal leave and can presumably return to the reprogramming of the base firmware although it is not clear that it would be available for the PrimEx-eta experiment. These modifications would be a big improvement in FCAL operations.
    2. BCAL: The plan developed two weeks ago stands: BCAL will be turned on in July and Regina with work with Mark and Elton in July and Beni in August to ensure the device is ready for the run.
    3. CCAL: no report.
  3. Calibration: Sean is satisfied with the current state of the calibration.
  4. Monitoring
    1. BCAL (offline): no report.
    2. FCAL (offline): Susan reached Batch06 in processing RunPeriod 2019-11 for LED efficiency maps and time shifts. A comparison of LED runs to data runs vs block number was shown. Bad channels are visible in both distributions. DFCALDigiHit and DFCALHit plots were shown. Using the LED extracted efficiency to correct the data results in overcorrections for some channels. This procedure is complicated: the HV is unstable, the LED events are much fewer in number, the 3 LED colours (violet, blue and green) times 5 bias settings only span a region of wavelengths whereas the data spans all. 'Grass' (drop) in efficiency to about 30% was seen in data channels: this could be due to some of the LED settings saturating blocks (mostly on the perimeter of the FCAL). Matt recommended looking at energy plots of one of these blocks and Mark suggested plotting the different LED settings separately.
  5. Reconstruction: Elton stated that the photon reconstruction and Task Force work should be reported at our next CALWG meeting, after the collaboration meeting.
  6. Simulations: No report
  7. Action Items: These were discussed during last meeting and they are up to date.
  8. Any other business: no report.
